i thought you might want to check out my fellow makers of small animal figurines

my favorite artistS!

Chances are that if you like my work, you’re gonna love their work. These are (in my opinion) some of the most talented people in my niche which I consider to be ‘small animal figurines’ made from either polymer clay or ceramics. Though the two materials require completely different set of skills and result in different outcomes, I find that our communities are pretty intertwined.

Pictured here is a pet commission of my pets Aki & Ellie made by TERRABUDDIES.

By no means are these all of my favorite artists. I picked a few that always bring me joy when they make a new thing and today I’d like to share them with you. All of them sell their work and I encourage you to check out their websites and instagrams!

Dunya’s art has so much personality that I'm convinced you'd have to be a psychopath not to smile looking at her creations. She’s a polymer clay artist from Russia and she makes the cutest pet commissions ever, always managing to stay true to the reference while adding her own style to the mix.

When you look at Kness’ art, you can instantly see the incredible talent and hard work she puts into her work. She’s a ceramic artist from Canada and she’s one of the few people I looked up to from the very start (and still do). Not only does she have the most elegant and consistent style out there, she also continues to amaze me with the sheer amount of figurines she manages to make AND post on instagram.

Looking at Divya’s puppies and cats gives me so much serotonin. She’s a ceramic artist from India and her simple yet adorable style reminds me of little animal totems that may have been made yesterday or been around for thousands of years, you may never know.

If I were to use one word to attribute to Chien Nie’s art, it would be serenity. Looking at those perfect, streamlined teeny tiny animals makes me always feel at peace. It takes a lot of talent (and hard work) to be able to create such simple yet so distinctive figurines. You can always recognize this singaporian artist’s ceramics, no matter where you see it.

I remember admiring Rama’s creations way before I started my instagram. In my eyes there’s no better skilled polymer clay artist in our niche. To put it plainly, her figurines are just perfect. Perfectly smooth, perfectly shaped and perfectly painted with incredible detail. Rama is from Lithuana and I love that she often chooses to make less known animals.

Danielle is a ceramic artist and though she mostly makes pendants out of her tiny animal figurines, she definitely belongs on my list. She’s based in California and her vivid teeny wildlife is always incredibly cute.

That’s it for now! I’ll continue updating this list whenever I feel like it :)
