Uhm… where am i?

Fear not! I’ll explain everything.

Do you see those small animal figurines? I made them. In fact, I made everything you can find on this website and on my INSTAGRAM. They are made from this fun thing called POLYMER CLAY. Well, it’s not truly clay but that’s what it’s called so we’ll just roll with it. I also paint them with acrylic paints. It takes ages but I love every minute of it! Why do I do this, you ask? Well, I SELL THEM, so you can have a tiny friend to keep you company. There’s plenty more I’d love to tell you. You can just keep reading here if you’d like. Hello!

Hey. Hi. So, I’m the person behind Taraminart. I wear many hats in order to run my small business - like being my own copywriter and attempting to write about myself without cringing.

I never quite grew up from that childhood stage where you are obsessed with animals and need to pet all the street cats even though your mom is yelling at you not to do that because you’ll die (sorry, mom).

My name is Martina Čerňanová and I’m from Slovakia. Art has always been a part of my life one way or another; at some points I loved it and others, I declared never to do it again. But still, here we are.

My mind is always buzzing with new ideas but all my life I’ve had a hard time sticking with things and seeing projects through. I’ve been told that this is a very bad trait of mine, but I’ve come to realize that it’s really a blessing in disguise. Because of my nature, I’ve traveled many different art paths and gained quite a few experiences in different fields which allowed me to start Taraminart and slowly shape it into what it is today. What I can tell you after making these animal friends since 2019, is that this is the one project I won’t abandon because I’ve finally found my calling.

Taraminart came into existence because I wanted to show you all the unusual animals you haven't heard of, but along the way, it evolved into sharing the way I see even the most ordinary of animals. Each of them has so much personality that I feel many people overlook. I hope to make you realize all the quirks of your non-human neighbors, so next time you stumble upon your local goose, you’ll notice the mischievous spark in its eyes right before it attacks you.
